This project looked to introduce a public bathhouse to upper Manhattan residents. The building's roof was designed around the idea of creating courtyards through a series of actions. Water caught from the roof then flows down into pools at the center. The design drew loose inspiration from the Confluence Park Pavillion in Texas.
Another key aspect of the building was to find a way to better support the community of Sugar Hill and Harlem. Investigations in the site's region showed that there was a massive population of established families in need. This influenced the addition of a dedicated daycare wing of the west half of the project. Allowing for local families to find a convenient location to drop off their children.
